Sauder Village Hook-In February 11 and 12

ROAD TRIP.   In need of something a little less North Pole-like, a couple of us went to the hook-in at Sauder Village.   For those of you who have been to Sauder Village, you know that the Inn is a wonderful place to stay, and the room we were in downstairs I understand is one of the classrooms during the Rug Hooking Week in August.   Two days of nothing but hooking, food, pool, hot tub and wonderfully creative people sharing their knowledge, meeting new people and connecting again with others.  In northern Michigan, any escape from the snow is a welcome one, but we didn't expect to see as much snow in Ohio as we did.  Mother Nature does surprise us all sometimes, bless her heart, but it was good to be among hooking friends, especially when someone else had to do the snow shoveling.

Picture shows Cindi Gay talking about her room sized rug.

These are some of the rugs that were on display

I wanted to get a group shot, but as you know, at hook-ins everyone is up and about, so I took pictures of groups as I could.

Keep this in mind for next year.   Updates will be on  www.SauderVillage.org
